It is such an incredible honor to be featured in Jackson’s 11th edition Scout Guide🩵🩵🩵 like wow. I grew up looking through these little books so this is just wild to me.

I had so much fun with @audrabowmanlifestyle. She has done wonders as the new editor of @tsgjacksonms and I am so so grateful to her for this opportunity 🩵 My sweet friend Elson @poemaclothiers styled me for this little shoot and I have never felt more comfortable in my own skin🥹 (And always grateful to @amontagnet who lets me bombard her house and dog anytime)

I am so proud to be a Jacksonian and I can’t wait for y’all to look through this new guide and see all of the talented businesses this sweet city has to offer.

When I want to give a meaningful gift to a close family member of friend, I will write the words to their favorite verse, song, poem, or even just an special phrase that only they know.

Last year, I gave this (first and second picture) to my husband because this was the song sung at our wedding. One Christmas, I gave my dad the Bourbon watercolor (picture 3) because we’ve spent many sweet nights as a family in his study listening to his favorite songs on a playlist he had named “bourbon.”

Something new!! I had just watched the new @bridgertonnetflix episodes when I started this project so I felt perfectly equipped with girlie floral inspo to take this one on🌷🌷🌷

This bottle painting was commissioned to be a keepsake for a newborn baby girl 🎀💐🩷 I love these meaningful projects the most!!

I don’t know if it’s every calligrapher’s dream to create and address their own wedding invitation suite and envelopes but it certainly was mine

Big thanks to my @freshinkstyle family for all things paper and party 🤍 This was so much fun
Also wanted to thank @j.graham.design for the monogram that we’ll get to reuse throughout our whole life. It is absolutely stunning

The invitations are engraved on handmade-like @arzbergerstationers ivory colored paper. The print and ink color is charcoal. And lastly, the blind embossed monogram ties everything together.

Calligraphy in quarantine has been awesome. And I actually find a lot of comfort in this picture. Gonna get deep here— proceed to read if you dare.
The shadows reflect this time of uncertainty we’re in, but the light showing through onto the words holds so much hope, for now and for what is to come soon. It represents the beauty that can flourish under this 6-foot wide shadow between our friends or the one casted from the walls of our own homes. Yes, it’s a time of grief and we should grieve for those hurting. And yes, it can be annoying and sad to be stuck, and we should embrace those feelings as well. I think that’s the only way we’ll ever understand true joy in quarantine: by facing this hard experience head first. Look at it right in the eye and weep. For in the shadow and in those tears, I think we’ll also find tremendous hope. This has probably been said before, and in no way do I do a good job of doing this myself. But these were my thoughts and I thank anyone that has read this far. Spread love amen
